Michael Sebold is Team Leader of Tremco’s Building Envelope Solutions Team. As Team Leader, his primary responsibility involves leading teams of technical integration and technology specialists in conjunction with knowledgeable local sales and site support to respond to challenges facing the industry today in the design and construction of the high-performance building. Key to his efforts is the pioneering of product/system innovations to continually respond to the most critical design challenges facing the industry as well as supervising design integration and collaboration to ensure long-term sustainability. Testing and documentation of system/assembly and enclosure performance provides the foundation for building enclosure design recommendations.
Mike has been with Tremco since 1989, starting out as a Technical Service Representative and transitioning into sales within a couple of years. Throughout much of his career, he has focused on the commercial window and curtain wall industry, serving as a Glazing Specialist, North American Sales Manager and Business Manager of Tremco’s Commercial Glazing Systems business prior to his current role. During these roles, he has facilitated the use of Tremco’s glazing components on several of the largest buildings in the world, including the Petronas Towers in Malaysia. He and Peter Poirier, technical director for building envelope solutions, also are responsible for the development of Tremco’s pioneering Proglaze® ETA Engineered Transition Assembly which was awarded a patent in 2012.
A graduate of St, Bonaventure University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing, Mike earned a Masters of Business Administration at the University of St. Thomas.
